7 Tips to Lose Fat Fast

Shifting from Sugar to Fat

Mar 31, 2025

Hello Dear One!

I thought to share a bit of a consultation I had with a prospective client the other day.

She was clear that Fat Burning was of interest, but she also wanted to know what she could do NOW to help in her efforts to lose weight, have more energy, feel stronger at the gym, and be healthy in general.

I talked about the fact that there are two types of fuel we could be burning:

SUGAR or FAT.

Protein is not a great source of fuel - so please don't plan to use mostly than when creating your meals.

Some BOOST Brags!

Our BOOST is at the end and everyone has done some exceptionally substantial FASTs.

Love the ability of these slightly longer FASTs (36- 48 hours) to speed up weight loss and to improve health.

Next BOOST will be in May!

If you're an established Fat Burner and are inclined - JOIN US!

ALSO don't expect your body to be able to suddenly and seamlessly run on Fat because you now think it's a good idea after having a lifetime of running on Sugar (like most people).

So what SHOULD we do now that we see that Burning Fat might be a better move for our goals?

#1. Dialing down Carbs slightly

If we start to adjust our carb intake slightly/slowly the body will generally feel more comfortable and ALLOW that adjustment without much backlash.

When we decide to quit carbs cold turkey is typically when people crash and burn feeling HUNGRY and lunge for the carb forward items they were intending NOT to eat.

#2. Three Meals a Day or Less

Snacking is SO not Fat Burning.

Even if you're used to eating every couple hours (and believing that's necessary for your metabolism) STOP.

Make a point to have slightly more robust meals so you don't NEED to snack between them.

This will help keep your blood sugar more stable, which will help reduce cravings AND keep insulin out of your system more of the day.

Insulin is a Fat Storage Hormone as well as a Fat Burning Blocking Hormone.

IF you'd like to be less hungry and use more of your fat for energy MORE of the time help yourself out by eating LESS frequently.

#3. Push Your First Meal Out Slightly

Not eating immediately upon rising can be a great move weight loss wise.

We're FASTing through the night when we're sleeping, and in that state we are happily working off of our Fat reserves for energy.

If you're comfortable in the morning and don't require food - let the line out!

Let your body tell you when it's ready for some food.

You'll only be helping yourself in the weight loss (and improved health) effort.

Hope that was useful!

And if you're seeing that slightly MORE guidance might be desirable in order to get your body wired to Burn your own Fat - please see where you are on the Sugar/Fat Burning spectrum.

If you're a woman over 40 who'd like to lose 8-15 lbs in a month by getting metabolically wired to use her own Fat for Fuel creating enhanced energy and slowed aging AS WELL - check these resources out.
