7 Tips to Lose Fat Fast

Hello Dear One,

 

If you've thought that your favorite cocktails and summertime socializing have to be off the table when you're focused on losing weight - you are WRONG!

 

Truth be told - alcohol is honestly good for nothing besides feeling fuzzy and having FUN (sounds alright!) so please recognize that this will ONLY impact your weight loss and body/brain in a negative fashion.

 

BUT if you WANT to do it (like many of us) - here's how to do it BETTER in order to have LESS of what you don't want and MORE of what you DO.

 

 

 

#1. CHOOSE CAREFULLY

 

Have what you want, just know that SPARKLING DRY WHITE WINE (champagne, cava, etc), or HEAVILY DISTILLED CLEAR SPIRITS (vodka, tequila, gin) will create the least impact for our purposes.

 

These options will have less calories, less carbs, less toxins, and will possibly even help you to FEEL what you're drinking FASTER (BUBBLES in your flute!).

 

You can branch off from there with dry white wine, and then dry red - or stay with the spirits and choose no calories mixers (seltzer, squeeze or lime/lemon, have your drink. "dirty" = olive brine).

 

Less calories and carbs is hopefully obvious as to their benefit, but the less a drink has toxins - the faster your LIVER will be able to process the POISON you're drinking (what it is) and THEN get back to the job of METABOLIZING FAT (yes please).

 

 

 

#2. DRINKING TECHNIQUE

 

I do this every time I imbibe.

 

It's like what you'd do at a wine tasting and it will help you to TASTE and FEEL what you're drinking FASTER.

 

This will enable you to NURSE your drink longer while still feeling all you might desire with LESS ALCOHOL.

 

We're drinking to FEEL DIFFERENT so if we're plain about the point, it makes sense to do things that get us there FASTER while not consuming any more.

 

This technique will also help you to feel LESS, faster as well.

 

When you stop drinking (assuming you did drink moderately) you'll move through that sensation faster as there was less of a delay in experiencing what you consumed.

#3. STELLAR SUPPLEMENTS

Drink them at or at the end of the night and possibly the next day as well.

 

 

 

 

#4, OPTIONS TO OFFSET

 

EAT LATER.

 

If we KNOW what's going to happen that has a less then ideal result (want to eat tasty and terrible food later in the night)- let's simply PLAN FOR IT!.

 

While it might sound ideal to eat a healthy meal before heading out and have that be all you enjoy food wise for that night - GREAT.

 

But if you KNOW that your hunger is going to ratchet up later - simply PLAN for it.

 

My advice?

 

DO NOT eat before your night begins and make the meal you KNOW you're going to have BE YOUR MEAL.

 

OR if having a little something in your stomach sounds like a better idea - do that, AND have the bulk of what you eat be when you KNOW you'll be supping.

 

Better to not set yourself up to FAIL HARDER when we could simply EXPECT ourselves to do what we always do and make it work better for us.

 

SWEAT AFTER.

 

Sweat gets toxins out of our body - so make sure to move to the degree that you perspire in order to get that junk out of you FASTER!

 

LIFT WEIGHTS or do HIIT the same day.

 

When we do more intense workouts BEFORE having an indulgent night we deplete GLYCOGEN STORES in our muscles.

 

One will NATURALLY desire both more CARBS and CALORIES as a result.

 

So once again, if we know we're going to be wanting such things later, let's make space so we have less of a surplus when we do.

 

GO TO BED EARLIER or GET MORE REST.

 

Perhaps this isn't happening on the eve of your fun affair but if you have the thought to do that more often than not - you will have a more advantageous hormonal makeup helping in the weight loss effort.

 

Plus alcohol notoriously messes with sleep, so making a point to lie in for longer will help process the alcohol more efficiently and create a more advantageous hormonal balance.

 

 

 

#5. LESS IS MORE

 

Since we're clear that this business is simply not helpful for our efforts be mindful that SIZE MATTERS.

 

If you're having a big to-do and are all about it - GREAT.

 

And if you simply happen to have a drink(s) with dinner - know that 1 can be great, 2 is possibly fabulous, and 3 is often too much.

 

I know for myself even with 2 drinks there are negative repercussions I don't enjoy - namely being HUNGRY and wishing for crappy food later.

 

Go slow, enjoy yourself, and be honest about how you'll feel later in the eve, or even the next day based on what you're consuming.

 

 

 

#6. DELIBERATE DECISION

 

And lastly if you really want alcohol - HAVE IT.

 

And if you don't REALLY want alcohol - do NOT have it.

 

There is SO MUCH expectation in our culture to DRINK.

 

Which is totally MESSED UP.

 

Alcohol is a POISON and a DRUG.

 

It ultimately has heavy repercussions depending on how we consume it.

 

Things that TURN ME OFF about alcohol include:

 - AGING the body prematurely

- affecting the brain to the degree that it reduces creativity and our ability to think quickly

- makes experiencing EVERY DAY JOY less easy due to the huge DOPAMINE spike alcohol creates in the brain that sets our bar for ENJOYMENT too high for simple pleasures to reach it

 

With these additionally compelling facts - BE DELIBERATE when drinking alcohol.

 

It honestly IS a big deal for so many reasons.

 

I encourage anyone who habitually drinks when socializing to deliberately NOT at times. 

 

Or even just THIS ONE time. 

 

What that will do is STRENGTHEN the muscle of discipline enabling you to CHOOSE at will what you actually want - even when it's different from everyone else.

 

 

 

 

 

#7. ELIMINATE TEMPTATION

 

"It's hard not to drink when you're at a bar."

 

My therapist said that ages ago when talking about this very subject.

 

If you don't want to ____, don't be around it.

 

And with that if you truly DO want to drink less (or not at all) - get around people that want the SAME THING.

 

Alcohol IS fun in a bottle and it is EASY for many of us to revert to it for having a god time or for lessening our social inhibitions.

 

But the truth is it eliminates the possibility of authentic connection and being the ability to be fully present to one another.

 

Based on what you're really looking for from others and in life (heavy duty stuff) alcohol may or may not be serving you currently.

 

So QUESTION how useful it is and start to consider choices you might make based on that.

 

 

Hope that was incredibly useful whether there has been any conflict around consuming alcohol while  wishing to lose or maintain the weight you're currently at.

 

And if weight loss HAS been a point of interest (or PAIN) please know that getting your body into a Fat Burning mode doesn't mean you can't color outside of the lines with carbs or alcohol.

 

It means that when you DO you aren't impacted AS MUCH.

 

Please don't remain a weight loss hopeful who believes they can never have indulgent times (LIFE) - while remaining in a place where change is slow, impermanent, or where indulgence happens followed by self beratement and STILL not having what you want.

 

Please don't do this.

 

Change things. 

 

Get your body groomed to burn fat.
