DISASTEROUS to DESIRABLE

Hello Dear One!
Wanted to share a little story of mine and the mindset that helped me to NOT consider going down the road to ruin - and instead end up in an even more wished for place.
The holidays sent me for a bit of a loop.
Like to an, "ALL IS LOST!", type place as a result of my Thanksgiving.
I really thought I had irreparably messed things up with not only the amount and TYPE of crazy indulgent food but also because of having a bunch of ALCOHOL on Thanksgiving day.
Alcohol is never helpful for weight loss (puts fat metabolism on hold while it's in our system) and for ME it typically impacts hunger following (later in night or on the next day.)
(Nowadays I only sometimes drink on special occasions/holidays, but still typically not because of either what a non event OR disaster it creates following.)
My day after Thanksgiving hangover cuisine consisted of ice cream cake, cheese and crackers, candied nuts, jam, and cured meats.
And a LOT of it as well.
As a result I was also wacked out physiologically the next day as well (food can be friend or foe! For REAL!).
I finally got myself back to my real deal supportive Fat Burning behaviors by the FOLLOWING day, felt solid again (less hunger, no cravings) and kept moving forward.
Except the holidays continued on.
More sexy food without tons of downtime between indulgences.
My BRAG in all of this is that I made all my extra CALORIES and CARBS RIGHT!
I brag that I recognized that all this extra FUEL and INSULIN created a perfect condition for more challenging workouts and muscle building.
I turned water into wine and it honestly helped me to kick off embracing heavier weights and deliberately getting STRONGER.
This is one thing I AIM to do w my Fat Burners.
There are things that are undeniably NOT helpful in our process or on our journey.
But it’s both SANE, USEFUL and KIND to treat our desires and our actions as RIGHT and TRUE.
We want what we want.
We did what we did!
To pretend otherwise is crazy, so the only options are to:
A ) negotiate before the fact
OR
B ) make the repercussions of our decisions work best for us after the fact
For when we do we stay united.
Stronger.
Congruent.
At peace.
And typically in a place that’s EXCITED about the opportunity of what this location holds.
VS feeling shitty about ourselves and doomed to remain a victim of less than ideal circumstances.
But if we own it and make _____ right we create the opportunity to influence what happens next WHILE making it work BEST for us.
Like me being on the precipice of MESS and creating an entirely different outcome vs - resigning myself to just gaining weight and, “getting back on track after the holidays”.
