7 Tips to Lose Fat Fast

Benefits of Being Hungry – #5. Fat Releasing Glucagon

Mar 04, 2019

Hello Darling One!

Does ANYONE know that the fat storing hormone Insulin has an opposite, and equally powerful hormonal counterpart called Glucagon??

If Insulin is triggered when our blood sugar gets too HIGH, Glucagon is triggered when our blood sugar gets too LOW.

When that happens it comes to our rescue and literally starts to convert fat BACK to glucose to raise blood sugar and to be used for fuel (rudimentary explanation at best, but this IS the gist of things).

SO, feeling a bit hungry actually makes your body get resourceful and pull from stored fat to ensure you can stay upright and functional!

How awesome!

If you’d like to NOT be blindly HANGRY so you can safely/comfortably take advantage of the benefit of getting slightly hungry, see where you are on the Sugar Burning/Fat Burning spectrum in this questionnaire, to see indeed that things CAN change.

To getting you clearer on how the body works, and how to make it work for you.
